Answer The Rio players that are listed below all support up to 1 GB SD or MMC memory cards. The memory card is a delicate item that should be handled with care as it is easily susceptible to damage. Additionally memory cards may cause a delay when booting the player. Also depending on the size of the memory card, the player may experience a slightly shorter battery life.

If you have a NON-MSC Player and you have purchased a new memory card, you will need to format the memory card / player before you can make use of the memory, see the directions that follow.

When transferring music to the player using Rio Music Manager it will treat the internal and external memory as one memory block. You can just send music to the player, once the internal memory card is full, it will begin to fill the external memory card.

When transferring music to the player using Windows Media Player it will treat the internal and external memory as two memory blocks. You will have to select the external memory card separately to transfer to it.
