Troubleshoot - Plays For Sure & Napster Transfer Issue
Solution Please note that this article only affects users of Windows XP and Windows Media Player 10, when using Plays For Sure subscription services.

A recent Napster software update prevents Rio Carbon Players that support Plays For Sure subscription service from transferring tracks to the player.

The error message indicates that the player is corrupted and that it needs to be formatted. If you format the player, it will not resolve the issue. Instead you will need to install a patch [or hotfix] from Microsoft to correct the issue.

Pay close attention to select the CORRECT operating system for downloading and installation.
