How To - Format Player
Solution
Formatting the player will delete all content on the player and remove any settings that may have been changed. Please refer to the lists below to determine if your player is an MSC or NON-MSC player. The players will have different formatting directions.
MASS STORAGE CLASS [MSC] PLAYERS:
Rio Carbon, Rio Carbon Pearl, Rio ce2100, Rio ce2110, Rio Forge, Rio se510, Rio Cali [Black RioStick], Rio Chiba [Black RioStick]
- Connect player to PC.
- Open Windows Explorer or My Computer.
- Right Click on the Rio Player
- Click FORMAT
- File System should be FAT32 with a DEFAULT ALLOCATION SIZE
- Click START
NON-MASS STORAGE CLASS [Non-MSC] PLAYERS:
Rio Nitrus, Rio Eigen, Rio Chiba [Red RioStick], Rio Cali [Red RioStick], Rio Karma, Rio S10, Rio S30S, Rio S35S, Rio S50, Rio Fuse
- Connect player to PC.
- Open Rio Music Manager
- Click on the Rio Player in the Device List.
- Click TOOLS from the Menu Bar
- Click FORMAT
- Click YES
